Mevlit Lokumu is the lokum traditionally offered to guests at mevlit gatherings, prayer ceremonies, and days of remembrance. At Azizem, each piece is hand-wrapped and individually labelled, so that what reaches your guests carries both the dignity of the occasion and the warmth of personal care.

Rooted in the customs of Ottoman Cyprus and observed across generations, the giving of lokum at a mevlit is one of the quietest, most enduring gestures of Cypriot tradition. Each piece is something a guest can take, hold, and remember. Our Mevlit Lokumu honours that intent: lokum of the same craft we put into our finest gift boxes, prepared here in Cyprus, finished in the variety of your choosing, and presented with care.

Choose your variety

Whole hazelnut coated, the classic finish, with the full nut visible against the soft lokum centre. Ground hazelnut coated, a finer and more delicate texture. Hazelnut coated with cream filling, soft and mellow. Hazelnut coated with chocolate filling, deeper and warmer.

Standard or Personalised

Standard: each piece wrapped and finished with the Azizem label. From €1.50 per piece.

Personalised: each piece wrapped and finished with a bespoke label carrying the name of the person being remembered, or a short dedication of your choosing. From €1.75 per piece.

For orders of 100 pieces or more, both tiers are offered at a reduced per-piece rate.

Ingredients

Our lokum is made in the traditional way, from sugar, starch, and natural flavourings, with no artificial additives. All our Mevlit Lokumu varieties contain nuts.

Lead time

Mevlit Lokumu is prepared specifically for your order. We ask for a few days' notice and, where possible, your event date, so that we can ensure your order is ready in good time. For larger orders or specific delivery requirements, please contact us directly so we can plan with you.
